Parents with Sky
During an orientation at Sky Montessori school, the focus is on how the Montessori method supports the independence of each child, grounded in the belief that children are born with powers that drive their growth and development. Sky Montessori believes in helping children so that they can ultimately help themselves, equipping them with the skills, confidence, and tools necessary to thrive.
Montessori environments are carefully crafted with objective and scientific materials created by Dr. Maria Montessori, encouraging self-directed learning and exploration. Serving children from birth to 18 years, the school follows the four planes of development: 0-3 years, 3-6 years, 6-12 years, and 12-18 years. At each stage, children engage in activities that nurture their natural curiosity and growth.
The orientation also emphasizes how the school promotes independence, with teachers guiding rather than directing learning, allowing children to explore and express their full potential. Montessori children thrive academically even in a competitive environment, as the focus is on developing a love for learning, critical thinking, and personal responsibility, empowering them to succeed at their own pace and at the highest level.
Additionally, Sky Montessori school provides timely guidance to parents, grandparents, and nannies through healthy, supportive conversations, helping families understand and align with the Montessori approach to further support the child's development at home and in the community.
